Importing Construction Estimates from Excel and CSV Files

Most estimating teams build their initial estimates in Excel or Google Sheets. They have their own formats, formulas, and workflows that they've refined over years. ProBidCore doesn't ask you to change that — it works with your existing spreadsheets.

To import, export your spreadsheet as a CSV file. ProBidCore's import tool automatically maps common column headers like 'Description', 'WBS Code', 'Cost Type', 'Qty', 'UOM', 'Unit Cost', and 'Total' to the right fields. If your headers are slightly different, the parser handles common variations.

Once imported, you can review and edit any line item before syncing. This is especially useful for teams that need to clean up data or adjust quantities before pushing to Procore.

For teams onboarding multiple projects, the CSV import can save days of work. One ProBidCore customer imported 15 projects in a single afternoon — work that would have taken a full week of manual entry in Procore.

You can also export your estimates from ProBidCore as CSV files, making it easy to share with team members, subcontractors, or clients who may not have Procore access.
